Mesopotamia

Well, I am starting to study something besides how to study Ancient History. First stop in the timeline, Mesopotamia. The most fun thing so far is the projects I am getting to do. Unfortunately, we don't have some of the supplies and need to go shopping. A few of the projects that we need the supplies for are:

Make a wheel like the Sumerians did

Recreate the Royal Standard of Ur on fabric

Make a copper picture on copper sheeting

The Standard of Ur is probably going to be the most fun of the three.

However much fun the activities are, the map study is the most fun thing this week. I have been looking through the atlas and putting the ancient ruins and areas on there for the Ancient World map study. And for the Modern World, I got to work on the plastic overlay to put current countries of the area in. And through it all, Joule sat by my side as I laid on the floor looking stuff up. Sometimes she actually looked at the book with me, as though she was interested as well.
